Archaeologist Steve Wallis Visits Year 3

Today the children in Year 3 met Dorset County Archaeologist, Steve Wallis.
Mr. Wallis talked to the children about the "Lumps and Bumps" of the South Dorset Ridgeway. He will be joining the children on their field visits out over the next two days.
Can  I remind parents that children will need to be able to change into outdoor footwear (Wellies, walking boots) and should have a warm, water-proof coat. The children are going out for half a day on both days.
Parents are very welcome to join us.

Year Three Repair Punctures

Thank you to Jonathan Dixon from Sustrans who visited the school today to teach the  Year 3 children how to fix a puncture. The children enjoyed learning about how to remove the inner-tube, locate and fix a puncture and put the inner-tube back. We always enjoy Jonathan's visits.

French Pancake Afternoon for Year 3 and 4 Friday 23rd February

We are holding a French Pancake afternoon for Year 3 and 4 on Friday 23rd February. As "Pancake Day" took place during the holiday week, we thought that we would have our own little celebration a week later.....in French.
The children will be learning to politely ask for their pancake (crepe) in French. They will also need to order their topping of choice in French too.
We will also be singing and dancing to some traditional French tunes.
We would be very grateful to those of you that can help us by providing some pre-made pancakes and toppings/lemons etc.
Many thanks,
Mr. MacBean and Mrs Johnson
