Collecting Batteries Challenge
Collecting Batteries Challenge
We would like to take part in a nationwide campaign to help to recycle more batteries.
Today the children have each been given a "battery collection box". These are to encourage you to collect batteries at home so that you can then bring them to school and pop them into our big communal battery recycling box. This is located just inside the main entrance to the school. We are interested in small voltage batteries of the types found in TV remote controls, toys and torches.
Mr. Bascombe will then arrange for the batteries to be collected and recycled properly.
We do hope that you can join us in our mission to be a school that recognizes the importance of recycling.

Bi Pedal Starts Next Week!
Don't forget that the "Big Pedal" starts next week - and continues for a fortnight, ending on the 4th May. We are hoping that as many children as possible will come to school on scooters and bicycles.
This is a national initiative, run by "Sustrans", aimed at promoting healthy living and getting young people into cycling and scooting.
Each day we will be making a tally of how we all got to school. This will be logged on a national data base and we will be able to see how we get on compared to other schools.
