School's out for the Summer!!!

Wow thank you so much for your very generous gifts, cards and kind words.

It's been a pleasure working with all of the Year 3 children this year, we have many memories that will last forever. Despite our strange circumstances it has fantastic to see the children continue to thrive.

Y3- Last week news...

Wow can you believe it is the last week of the Year 3! This week we will finish off learning about rocks, fossils and dinosaurs.

On Wednesday afternoon Year 3 will have their sports afternoon, although we can't any parents with us in the afternoon we will make sure we take photos to share with you.

On Friday afternoon the children want to celebrate the end of the year back at where Year 3 first began... with Harry Potter! We would like to watch Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (1st film), this film is a PG so if there is anyone that is concerned about us showing the film please do contact me (b.thorpe@princeofwales.dorset.sch.uk, I will be in school on Friday this week) . Most of the children said they have seen the film but we will celebrate (socially distant) with some delicious snacks.

Let the last week commence!!!!

Y3- Great 1st Sports week and Dino and fossil art!

This week Resilient and Discovery Kingdom have enjoyed playing Boccia in their areas. And of course today they all completed the ‘chacha slide’ as part of dance day. Well done everyone one, fantastic dancing!!

As well as sports week we have carried on our learning about fossils. Writing about how they are formed, making imprint fossils out of clay and also making 3D pictures of two of the dinosaurs that Mary Anning found the fossils of! If you would like to have a go at these at some please follow this link to Darrell Wakelam.  https://www.darrellwakelam.com/downloads Darrell has worked with the current Year 4 class on the Celtic skeleton on show in the cloak room at school. He has some amazing pieces to follow and make!

Have a lovely weekend everyone
