In the first week back, we will be having another look at "Time" in our Maths Lessons:
I have planned a series of activities designed to (ultimately) develop the ability to measure time to the nearest minute on an analogue clock.
-To know how to "say the time" – such as "20 minutes to 10" , and to know how to write this in digital conversion - such as 9.40.
As we have quite a range in abilities in "Time-telling" within the class, I will break this down as follows:
- o’clock and half past
-
quarter to/and past
-
5 minute intervals
-
1 minute intervals
For
those able “Time-Tellers” who have achieved this, there will be activities to develop use of “Time” in practical context
and worded problems (+-x /) involving time calculations.
