Year 3 - Telling the Time

After the half-term holiday, the children in Year 3 will be working on "Time" in their Mathematics sessions. It would be great if you spend some time practising this during the holiday.

For your information the curriculum at Year 3 states the following very challenging "learning objectives":

Use vocabulary such as o'clock, a.m./ p.m., morning, afternoon, noon and midnight.

Tell and write the time from an analogue clock, including using Roman numerals from I to XII, and 12-hour and 24-hour clocks

Estimate and read time with increasing accuracy to the nearest minute.

Compare durations of events (for example to calculate the time taken by particular events or tasks).
