Musical home learning

Hello everyone,

I can’t believe we are already approaching the final week of Summer 1. The term has flown by, and we are incredibly proud of how much the children have grown and progressed. Over the past few weeks, we have noticed a real shift in their focus, confidence and engagement in learning, which has been wonderful to see.

We have two exciting events coming up next week:

Our class trip to see the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra
National Numeracy Day celebrations on Friday, including a whole-school dress-up day

Alongside this week’s spelling home learning, which was sent home on Friday, we are also asking the children to read through and become familiar with the lyrics for the Sing Out song. Hard copies were sent home on Friday afternoon, and lyrics and supporting videos can be found here.

For Friday’s dress-up day, children are invited to come dressed as:
- a person famous for using or working with maths and numbers,
- a number or mathematical symbol,
- a calculator or maths tool,
- or any other maths-related idea that inspires them.

We are looking forward to a fun and memorable final week together!
