Home Learning - Easter Holiday Project - Year 3

Easter Holiday   - Year 3 Home Learning

What can you find out about The Anglo-Saxons?
- their homes, family life, customs, religion, wars, kings/queens, when/where
It would be great if you could present some of your findings:
Maybe a short piece of writing, or diagrams, or pictures etc

Have a great holiday!

PE Kits home for a wash

Dear Parents,
We will be sending the children's PE kits home with them today for a wash. A number of children have been saying that their PE shoes are getting too tight. Please can you take a look to see if this is the case with your child's shoes.
Many thanks,
DM

Sports Relief walk!

The entire school decided to take the Sports Relief challenge today; the school’s ‘Children’s Voice’ decided that they too would like to face a challenge, walking 1.75 miles from school to Maiden Castle and back. Despite it being rather chilly and a Friday afternoon, the children did this in super spirits and attitude. We were also pleased to see the Yr 4 children clearly supporting their buddies from Reception class to complete the walk.

We would like to thank the super turn out of parents today, enabling the children to complete this walk. The children have raised over £150 today and should be extremely proud of their efforts and awareness of supporting such a worthy charity.

Fixing a Puncture - Year 3

Our Thanks to Jonathan Dixon from Sustrans who popped into Year 3 after our "Bike-It Breakfast" on Tuesday and showed the children how to fix a puncture on a bicycle.
All of the children had the chance to fix a punctured inner-tube.
