The children in Year 3 were lucky to have an experience of Indian Cuisine yesterday.
Mrs Mistry-Dyer came in to teach the children how to make Chapatis. We then had an Indian feast with all sorts of very tasty Indian food that Mrs Mistry-Dyer had prepared for the children.
We would like to say a very big "Thank you" to Mrs. Mistry-Dyer.

Take two! A round of applause for the Year 3 children and their expertise at rolling and cooking Chapattis, my mum would be most suitably impressed! No rolling pins or knuckles insight Mrs Bernard! Year 3 had a superb attitude to trying the different foods and it was a pleasure to see their different reactions. Overall I think they had a really enjoyable afternoon. I would also like to say a huge thank you to Mr MacBean and Mrs Bernard for all their hard work and support in making the afternoon run so smoothly, given the short amount of time we managed to whizz through all the tasting and trying at break neck speed. As well as the children's enthusiasm it was a pleasure to see the teacher's enjoying themselves, especially when it came to trying the super spicy chicken livers I had made as a surprise. Did you notice Mr MacBean the children gave the livers a miss? Thank you so much for the blog and flowers. I adore all colour but purple is my favourite and my best! So next year for your next class, if you need to demonstrate quote "Healthy Eating" or just want a 'good curry' I shall be happy to return, but maybe next time perhaps just a little bit more time and I'll try not to feed the five thousand!
ReplyDeleteI know all of the Yr 3 thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon Mrs Mistry Dyer. Thank you so much for your boundless energy and fun you brought to the session!
