At the moment we are suspending our intake of eco bricks. Although we still encourage people to make these, we will not be accepting any of these at this time. This is mainly because the majority of the eco bricks we are receiving have not been correctly weighed, registered and logged with the eco bricks website before being dropped off. This means that the eco team unfortunately don't have enough time to go through them all as there are rather a lot!
The last bit of information that we want to share with you is a new way to drop off your recycling. We now have a grey storage bin just outside the main entrance door (underneath the office window) which you can use to drop your recycling in to. This will then be emptied and sorted by the children, allowing us to put the recycling in to the correct bins and throwing away anything that we is non-recyclable.
Thank you all so much for your continued support with making The Prince of Wales School even more green and for helping us to look after our wonderful planet. We welcome any suggestions on items you think we should be recycling. The more we recycle the more points we will get to buy additional learning resources for the school.
We will add a list of the things we now take below:
-Silver lined crisp packets (any)
-Pringle tubes
-Old toothbrushes and empty toothpaste
- Biscuit and cracker wrappers
-Baby food pouches
- Lids and pumps off the spray bottles
-Empty baby wipe wrappers (not the plastic lids)
-Empty anti bacterial wipes wrapper
-Plastic air fresheners and the wrappers
-Used pens
-Bottle tops
I can check and register any eco bricks that meet the standard next Monday if that helps?
