Welcome to another busy week in Year 3!
Today in Maths the children had to give directions using right angle turns eg. turn one right angle turn anti-clockwise. In Literacy we have been finding out about Pompeii. The children will be doing their big write on Friday.
This afternoon in Forest School the children made Roman cuffs. They had pieces of leather which they punched wholes in using a tool and hammer. They were also looking for a variety of different bugs!
The fiver challenge starts tomorrow after school outside the Y3 classroom (beat the goalie will be either on the field or behind the boat). I will put a board out tomorrow to remind everyone and will remind the children in assembly. Class tables can be taken from our room whilst we are in assembly from 3.15pm.
I put a list outside the Y3 classroom this afternoon, please could you put what your child will be dressed as for our Roman day next Friday. We can then write parts in the assembly which is the same day (next Friday 24th).
This Wednesday is our parent information session, this will be held in the Y3 classroom. The children will be asked to put their things away on Weds morning then go to the library.
Many thanks
The Year 3 team
