Romans, birds and newspaper reports

 Hi Year Three Families,

We have had a lovely week this week, we have continued our focus on The Escape from Pompeii in English we are turning our attention to writing newspaper reports detailing what happened during the eruption.

In Maths we have been working on Mass and using our knowledge of grams and kilograms to help us work out how much something weighs and which item weighs the most.

In History we learnt about when the Romans invaded Britain and the reasons why they wanted to come.

In Art we we have completed our 'bird' pictures which display our hatching and cross hatching skills. I am sure you will be as impressed as I was with their amazing creations.

On Friday next week we will be visiting Maiden Castle with Steve Wallis, this will compliment our learning about hillforts and the celts. Please ensure children have suitable footwear and coats for the weather on the day. We will return before lunch which will be as normal.

Here is what we are learning next week!
