Friday 24th March Church Visit and Red Nose Day

On Friday the children in Year 3 are visiting the St' Mary's Church in Dorchester.
We will be walking to the church at 9.15am and returning to school by 11.30am.
We are going to do some "photo-orienteering" within the church building; that is to say - looking photographs and trying to find where I was standing when I took them, and then plotting this on a map of the church.
We will also being looking at the "Stations of the Cross" (which are particularly nicely painted at St' Mary's) and talking about the Easter Story. The children will not be involved in any acts of worship at the church.
Friday is also "Red Nose Day"! The children have been encouraged to dress in something red, perhaps with a "funny accessory" (nose, or other) and bring a contribution to the Red Nose Day Charity Fund.
We will therefore be wearing our Red Nose Day clothing during our visit to the church.
