Home Learning - 11th March 2020

 Year 3 #InspiredToLearn Home Learning - 11th March 2021

Welcome back!  As we swing back into routine we are reintroducing home learning activities to support continued learning at home.  Now, we know you have probably had quite enough of learning at home and after our first full week back we imagine the children are extremely tired!  So, for the first four weeks the activities will offer some elements of choice and be very practical.  We will also begin spellings again to link in with the children’s new RWI spelling books which they will start next week.

This week’s home learning choices:

  1. This week we would like the children who haven’t yet done so to design and make a shield in readiness for our battle reenactment due to take place in the last weeks of this term, Romans v Celts (date to be confirmed).  Thank you to those of you who have already done this or joined in with the shield making taking place in school.  Hufflepuff and Gryfindor are making Celtic shields and Ravenclaw and Slytherin are making Roman shields.

  1. Make Mum or Nan a special something for Mother’s Day.  This could be a picture, a poem, something to eat or you could plant a seed.  Take a picture of your lovely creations and send it to Mrs Thorpe or Miss Johnson.

  1. Money, Money, Money!  In preparation for our new unit in Maths why not go on a money hunt!  Count your pennies in your moneybox, see if you can identify all of the coins.  Play shops or have a go at labeling and egg box with different amounts, see if you can find the right coins to fill it.

Please return any home learning by Friday 19th March 2021
