Year 3 Home Learning - Poetry Wednesday 26th April
Year
3 Home Learning - Poetry Wednesday 26th April
Can you make up a poem about a monster where you
describe the monster using things that you don’t like?
This
is the monster
I made
up last week.
A
monster so scary
I’m
now losing sleep!
It has…
|
Make
a list of things that you don’t like.
Then put these
into the poem about a monster.
|
barbed-wire ,
stinging nettles , fire alarms,
land-mines, wasp-stings,
bullies, burnt toast,
getting a
library fine, getting a puncture on my
bike,
having an
argument
|
It has barbed-wired feet
And stinging nettle arms
When singing it sounds
Like our school fire alarms
And a wasp sting nose
It has bullies for fingers
And burnt toast for toes
And flat tyres for eyes
It sounds like an argument
Whenever it cries.

A change into "outdoor working clothes" on Friday 28th Year 3 and Year4
This Friday afternoon, the children in Year 3 and Year 4 are going to be working with the R.S.P.B. Outreach Team. We are going to be doing some work clearing out the school's pond. This is likely to be a bit messy, so we ask that the children bring a change of clothes (or, at least, "bottom half") and some suitable footwear,- preferably "wellies".
Any parents that would like to join us for the afternoon would be very welcome. Please contact Mr. MacBean or Mrs Johnson.
Many Thanks

Lovely sunny morning for Year 3 Farm Visit (7.4..17)
The children in Year 3 enjoyed their visit to Maiden Castle Farm this morning. They were able to go into the lambing shed and see lots of baby lambs.
Our thanks to Hazel for inviting us along again and teaching us all about the busy time around the farm in the Spring. Thank you too to those parents who were able to come along to help.
There are lots more photographs in the Year 3 Gallery.

Three- Home Learning (over the Easter Holiday) Wed 5th April
I have asked the children to find out about and write about an “Animal”.
They have been asked to choose one animal to focus on.
Thank you for your support,

Their

It
could be presented in any appropriate way (- poster, reference text, power
