Year 3: End of the week and information for next week

At the end of last week we started to use our new Science books. Our focus this half term is on plants so we have observed if the plants that we have already planted have sprouted yet and then went on the hunt in our school grounds for the different stages of a dandelion.

In PE we had basketball with coach Luca outside in the sunshine. We had the RNLI come in and give an assembly about how to stay safe by the coast. The children learnt about what the different flags mean and what to do if they were caught in a rip current.

Thank you to everyone that bought in their reading records and PE kits this week. We are still missing quite a few of these.

I held the parent information session on Friday, thank you to the parents that were able to make this. A recording of the session will be shared with you.

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend, the strike day means that we will see the majority of the children in school on Wednesday. Please note that Friday afternoon (5th) is our Coronation celebration on the field. You should have received your invite for this (in a brown envelope that went home on Wednesday). If no one is available to come in for your child I (Mrs Thorpe) will be there. Children will be able to go home with their adult from 2.30pm .
