Tomorrow afternoon we will be having our SCARF lesson on how our body changes during puberty. We will be explaining what this is and the changes that happen to our bodies. We will be speaking about how babies are made from an egg and sperm. The children will learn about how girls store the eggs and then we will discuss the menstrual cycle. We are a environment where the children feel open to talk about their worries and concerns but we will also make it clear the children can write down any questions.
It might be that your child comes home tomorrow with more questions or just to discuss what we have spoken about. We don't want the children to feel ashamed about anything that happens to their bodies and it's important that they know what is to come.
