Home Learning - Months of the Year - and Poetry (Friday 6th March)

For our Year 3 "Home learning" this week, I have asked the children to learn the names for all of the months of the year - in order.

 I have also encouraged the children to learn this poem:

"Thirty Days Hath September"  - Poem

30 days hath September,
April, June and November.
All the rest have 31,
Except February alone,
Which only has 28 days clear
And 29 in each leap year.

This ticks two boxes in the new National Curriculum:
-Learning poetry
and
- Knowing how many days there are in each month.
