Year 3: Week 3 learning

This week we have been focussing on fronted adverbials. The children used fronted adverbials today to write a postcard. They pretended that they were the boy in the story 'The Stone Age Boy' and wrote a postcard back to their parents to explain what they had been up to.

In Maths this week we are looking at intervals on a number line. They are been looking at filling in missing numbers on a number line. This can sometimes be quite tricky if there are less numbers on the number line. This weeks home learning will focus on this.

I have given all the children their log in cards. This is the copy for home that will give them all the usernames and passwords for TTRS, Mathletics, Purplemash and AR reading. All children have an AR book that is their number. The library is open in the mornings and after school to change these. We encourage you to read with your child everyday and once they finish a book they can complete a quiz. Any questions about this then please let me know.

In Forest School this afternoon we have carried on with whittling our tent pegs and learning how to do a reef knot as well as amazing teamwork and imagination when building some pretty impressive dens!

Just a reminder that home learning folders need to be in tomorrow please.

Next week: Monday is the farm trip. Children can wear normal school tops but home trousers and wellies please. It might be best to have another pair of shoes to put on for when we get back.

Please do contact me if you have any questions
